What I eventually discovered was that one core belief was driving so much of my struggle:

"I can't handle my feelings."

When I began to change that belief and cultivate a sense of safety around my emotions, everything started to shift. I stopped running from myself. My relationship with food improved. And I learned how to hold space for my feelings with greater compassion.
